A Filly in Holland, daughter of Lolke 371

Testimonials

I've been a big Lolke fan for years and was very excited when I heard he was coming to the United States. I was just as excited when my vet called and said my mare, Xsamantha, was clear of a yeast infection we'd been battling and was ready to be bred. We had already felt Lolke and Sami would be a great match and I needed semen shipped quick. I called John and he told me Lolke was out of quarantine, at his place and ready to breed. I was honored to be the first shipment being sent out. He collected Lolke and sent it right away. Sami got in foal on the first breeding, and the excitement continued waiting for the special little foal.

There was so much I was hoping Lolke would pass along to this foal. Sami's a full papered ster mare who always had nice, more baroque foals with great temperament.  I was hoping this time for a more modern built foal. One with longer legs and an arched neck, but keeping that temperament, of course.  We got exactly what we were hoping for and more when our filly, Faith was born. She had the longest legs, most jet black coat, most beatuful face and sweetest, most trusting temperament I'd ever seen in a foal. In fact, the first time the farrier came to trim her, she had been laying down in her stall. The farrier trimmed and filed her and Faith never even got up. Just layed there so sweet and trusting. She also was born with such huge confidence. She's fearless.

We just celebrated Faith's first birthday on March 18th and she is such a delight. So elegant and sweet. She'll leave her hay and the other horses to come see me and get her belly scratched. Then, she'll stay and "help" me clean stalls. She's always a delight. She's the complete package. More than I could have ever asked for. Faith's my little princess and she takes my breath away every day. Thank you Lolke, John and Gloria.

We are so thrilled about the quality of our Lolke 371 filly "Erika TFFF" As you well know she was premature and spent her first 2 weeks on this earth fighting for her life at Kansas State University. Despite having gone through all that, she is growing beautifully and her movement is unbelievable! She has a powerful, ground covering trot and suspension with balance that is remarkable for such a youngster. Especially one that had such a rough start. You can clearly see Lolke's "stamp" on her. Along with movement, she got his beautiful head, neck, and sculpted ears. She is so outstanding, we can't bear to sell her. We can hardly wait to present her as a 3 year old.

We also wanted to let you know how much we appreciate your professionalism. You are always available to take calls, answer questions, and make sure that the shipments we got to breed Vijmkje were quality and on time. This is very important when a mare owner spends money to prepare a mare for breeding.

Most of all we thank you for your support as we prayed each day that Erika would survive. Your daily calls and willingness to support us in any way, helped us to know that you cared as much as we did for the life of our beautiful Lolke filly.

Many Blessings to You and Lolke

I first saw Lolke on the cover of The Friesian.  I thought he looked wonderful--tall, with a long neck and a beautiful head.  When I read your description of his temperament (alert, eager to please) I set my sights on a Lolke colt, and began watching your website for one for sale.  I wrote to Gloria last June, and she sent pictures of some lovely Lolke fillies, but said no one wanted to sell their foals.  I had given up by fall, and was looking at some other colts, when I took a last look at your website, and there was little Eirian!  I wrote to his owner, Catherine Frampton, and many pictures and letters later, I bought him.  He arrived here in California on November 24, almost 5 months old.
